Our AfriCanyon river adventure starts with registration, getting your wetsuit, kit and a quick briefing at basecamp. We then transfer you to the river entry point, a short drive in our vehicle and within minutes you are on your way. A brilliant combination of fun and adventure in the great outdoors!
Run the river with AfriCanyon, navigate through the river shallows, swim through natural tannin coloured fresh-water mountain pools, maneuver down water slides and abseil waterfalls as you dip down into the river gorge.

I had an amazing experience at Africanyon! The activities were thrilling, and the staff made the whole experience even better. The staff assistant was strict but fun, ensuring safety while keeping the energy high. They were also incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step and making sure we felt comfortable. One thing that stood out was how they encouraged us to push our limits. Whether it was tackling waterslide or upscaling, especially swimming because I cannot swim, Puma kept me safe, comfortable, motivated and excited. I especially admired their brave approach to when we had to jump into the water without thinking to eliminate our fears, inspiring us to step out of our comfort zones. The worlds best bungy jump and the most amazing experience of your life!
The view from Africa’s highest bridge captures all the majesty and tranquility of the Bloukrans River valley. Your experience starts with a zipline out to the to top of the bridge arch. The bungy jump makes use of a pendulum system to ensure the smoothest, most comfortable bungee jump possible. After the initial freefall, you are pulled into a giant pendulum motion and then into the big rebound.
Jumpers are secured in a full-body harness combined with a separate ankle connection to the bungy cord. For the last 25 years we have kept all our jumpers safe and secure.

Photo and video footage is available for viewing and purchase in our retail shop after your jump. (All digital products are sent via SMS and email which you can instantly download).
